Vehicle protection is about more than scratches and dents

When most people think about protecting their vehicle, they think about washing it regularly, avoiding dents, keeping it serviced and making sure it is insured. These are all important, but there is another threat that often goes unnoticed until it becomes a costly problem: pests.

Across Australia, spiders, ants, rodents and other pests regularly find their way into vehicles. Engine bays, wheel arches, mirrors, vents and underbody areas can provide shelter, particularly when a vehicle is parked for extended periods or stored outdoors. The result can range from unsightly cobwebs and ant infestations through to damaged wiring, blocked vents and expensive repairs.

What makes the issue particularly frustrating is that pest activity often occurs when a vehicle is not being used. A caravan sitting between holidays, a classic car stored in a garage, a work ute parked outside overnight or a boat waiting for summer can all become attractive environments for unwanted visitors.

That is why effective vehicle protection should extend beyond paintwork and maintenance. It should also include sensible steps to help reduce the risk of pest activity.

RoadBlock Spider and Ant Automotive Treatment was developed with this philosophy in mind. While designed to treat and prevent spiders, ants and cobwebs in vehicles, it forms part of a broader approach to vehicle care and protection. Just as owners invest in car covers, battery maintenance and regular servicing, many also choose to take preventative measures against pests before a problem develops.

At RoadBlock, we believe protecting a vehicle is about more than keeping it looking good. It is about preserving the reliability, condition and enjoyment of something you have worked hard to own.

After all, prevention is almost always easier, cheaper and less stressful than dealing with a problem after it occurs.
